Ingredients
- 1kg leg of lamb, (boneless) trimmed, patted dry and cut into 5cm pieces
- 40g of ghee, or 3 tbsp vegetable or groundnut oil
- 1 1/4 large onion, finely chopped
- 1 1/2 tbsp of garam masala
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 cinnamon stick, broken in half
- 1 knob of ginger, 2 1/2cm in length, finely chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, large, crushed
- 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
- 1/2 tsp chilli powder
- 700ml of chicken stock
- 30g of coriander leaves
- 500g of basmati rice
- 6 tbsp of milk
- 1 tsp saffron threads
- 150ml of natural yogurt
